It ensures that internships are conducted in alignment with Neftaly’s strategic objectives, Royal values, and Human Capital development priorities, while providing meaningful learning opportunities for interns.

NeftalyP264-3-1 This policy applies to:
- NeftalyP264-3-1-1 All Neftaly Human Capital, Officers, Deputy Chiefs, Royal Directors, and Non-Executive Members involved in internship programs.
- NeftalyP264-3-1-2 Interns recruited from universities, colleges, technical institutions, or other professional development programs.
- NeftalyP264-3-1-3 All aspects of internship management, including recruitment, onboarding, supervision, evaluation, and reporting.
NeftalyP264-4 Policy Statement
NeftalyP264-4-1 Neftaly is committed to offering structured, meaningful internships that contribute to Human Capital development while supporting organizational goals. Internships must be designed to provide practical learning experiences, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth, underpinned by ethical standards and compliance with all applicable laws.

NeftalyP264-6-1 Internship Planning

- NeftalyP264-6-2-1 Advertise internships through official Neftaly platforms and partner institutions.
- NeftalyP264-6-2-2 Neftaly Human Capital must not appoint Neftaly Interns who are Pregnant a confirmation and declaration must be done during the appointment
- NeftalyP264-6-2-3 Use NeftalyF264-02 Internship Application Form for all candidates.
- NeftalyP264-6-2-4 Royal Directors review applications and shortlist candidates.
- NeftalyP264-6-2-5 Selection is based on merit, potential, and alignment with program objectives.
NeftalyP264-6-3 Onboarding and Orientation
- NeftalyP264-6-3-1 Selected interns undergo onboarding using NeftalyF264-03 Internship Onboarding Checklist.
- NeftalyP264-6-3-2 Orientation covers Neftaly policies, Royal values, safety, and operational procedures.
- NeftalyP264-6-3-3 Assign each intern a mentor or supervising Officer for guidance and support.
- NeftalyP264-6-3-4 Neftaly places TVET College graduates who seeks 18 months internships into Neftaly 18 Months Internship
- NeftalyP264-6-3-5 Neftaly Places University Graduates who seeks 12 months internships into Neftaly 12 Months Internship Program
NeftalyP264-6-4 Supervision and Mentorship
- NeftalyP264-6-4-1 Mentors provide regular guidance, monitor performance, and support skill development.
- NeftalyP264-6-4-2 Officers maintain NeftalyF264-04 Internship Progress Log to track activities, achievements, and challenges.
- NeftalyP264-6-4-3 Neftaly Royal Chiefs must ensure that Neftaly Interns are fully supervised and mentored for the duration of the Neftaly Internship
- NeftalyP264-6-4-4 Neftaly Chiefs must ensure that Interns work is fully supervised, reviewed and approved daily to avoid discrepancies and queries from other Neftaly Royals
- NeftalyP264-6-4-5 Neftaly Chief Human Capital Officer must provide a written letter to the funder financing Internships to set the Dissapointments and the letter must be published on Neftaly App every time an email letter is sent out
NeftalyP264-6-5 Evaluation and Feedback
- NeftalyP264-6-5-1 Interns are evaluated using NeftalyF264-05 Internship Evaluation Form at mid-term and end of the program.
- NeftalyP264-6-5-2 Feedback is provided to interns and incorporated into final reports.
- NeftalyP264-6-5-3 CHCO reviews overall internship program effectiveness.
- NeftalyP264-6-5-4 Neftaly Interns who underperforms must be terminated immediately after following the Neftaly Disciplinary Policy
- NeftalyP264-6-5-5 Neftaly Interns are not allowed to be absent for the Internship duration
- NeftalyP264-6-5-6 Neftaly female Interns are not allowed to be pregnant for the duration of the Internship
- NeftalyP264-6-5-7 Neftaly Interns who missed work will be terminated immediately
- NeftalyP264-6-5-8 For interns who are fully funded by Neftaly Clients should the Neftaly intern show non compliance they must be removed immediately
- NeftalyP264-6-5-9 Should Neftaly Interns who feels the Neftaly work is overwhelming them or make them be sick they must step down with immediate effect
- NeftalyP264-6-5-10 Neftaly Clients such as Corporates and Government financing interns must pay Neftaly on time to ensure full payment of Neftaly Interns Stipends on time as this reduces their reputation
- NeftalyP264-6-5-11 Neftaly Chief Human Capital is mandated to write minutes of discussions and all conversations regarding the Dissapointments and should shame the funder or government who is not paying the interns they are funding
- NeftalyP264-6-5-12 Should Neftaly Interns feels that they are discourages they must step down with immediate effect
- NeftalyP264-6-5-13 Should a Neftaly Intern not perform to the satisfactory the Neftaly intern must be stopped immediately and be replaced if it allows
- NeftalyP264-6-5-14 Neftaly will not pay any Funded Interns from its funds until the period ends as this is an insult to a signed funding agreement with the Neftaly Funder
- NeftalyP264-6-5-15 Neftaly Interns who do not attend to work or to duties if working from home must be terminated without notice and a farewell message should be published on Neftaly ‘Neftaly bids farewell to [Name Surname] on [DD Month YYYY]’
- NeftalyP264-6-5-16 Neftaly Interns who are not performing must be terminated without notice and a farewell message should be published on Neftaly ‘Neftaly bids farewell to [Name Surname] on [DD Month YYYY]’
- NeftalyP264-6-5-17 Neftaly Royal Chiefs are allowed to terminate Interns should the behavior of interns affects the professional ethics and credibility of Neftaly
- NeftalyP264-6-5-18 Neftaly Royal Chiefs are allowed to terminate Interns by sending them to the Neftaly Chief Human Capital Officer
- NeftalyP264-6-5-19 Neftaly Royal Chiefs are allowed to terminate Interns should they miss 3 reports and minimum targets
- NeftalyP264-6-5-20 NeftalyP264 Neftaly Royal Chief who is mandated with the ownership of the Project must take full accountability over their Contract and Service Level Agreement
NeftalyP264-6-6 Certification and Recognition
- NeftalyP264-6-6-1 Interns receive a NeftalyF264-06 Internship Completion Certificate upon successful completion.
- NeftalyP264-6-6-2 Exceptional performance may be formally recognized and documented in NeftalyR264-01 Internship Recognition Register.
- NeftalyP264-6-6-3 Neftaly Interns who have exceptionally performed at the discretion of the Neftaly Royal Chief must be offered a Position
- NeftalyP264-6-6-4 Neftaly Interns who have completed their internship must be handed over their Neftaly Logbook so that they can submit to their University or College
NeftalyP264-6-7 Reporting and Review
- NeftalyP264-6-7-1 Officers compile reports on internship participation, outcomes, and lessons learned using NeftalyR264-02 Internship Report Template.
- NeftalyP264-6-7-2 CHCO and CEO review reports to inform future program planning and improvements.
