To the Neftaly Chairperson, Neftaly Board, Neftaly Royal Chiefs, and the entire Neftaly Human Capital Community,
I am honoured to launch the Neftaly Human Capital Rights Management Policy (NeftalyP427).
The protection, promotion, and respect of employee rights are foundational to Neftaly’s values and organisational integrity. This policy provides clear guidance on recognising, upholding, and safeguarding the rights of all staff while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
By standardising rights management practices, Neftaly ensures fairness, transparency, and a respectful work environment that supports dignity, equity, and inclusion.

This policy applies to:
- All Neftaly Human Capital staff, managers, interns, volunteers, fellows, and contractors.
- Processes relating to the protection, assertion, and management of employee rights.
- Situations including workplace conduct, grievance management, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and employment entitlements.
- Ensuring awareness, communication, and enforcement of employee rights across all departments.

Employee Rights: Legal, ethical, and organisational entitlements of employees, including fair treatment, safe working conditions, and freedom from discrimination.
Rights Officer: Individual responsible for managing, monitoring, and resolving employee rights-related matters.
Grievance: A formal complaint raised by an employee regarding violation or infringement of rights.
Dispute Resolution: Structured process to resolve conflicts or grievances fairly and transparently.
Compliance: Adherence to legal, regulatory, and organisational requirements concerning employee rights.

NeftalyP427-5: Roles and Responsibilities
5.1 Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
- Ensures overall compliance with rights management policies.
- Reviews critical rights-related cases and outcomes.
5.2 Chief Human Capital Officer (NeftalyCHCR)
- Oversees the implementation of rights management programs.
- Ensures organisational compliance with labour laws and ethical standards.
- Monitors rights-related metrics and reports outcomes to the CEO.
5.3 Rights Officers / HR Managers
- Manage employee rights issues, grievances, and disputes.
- Provide guidance, advice, and support to staff regarding rights.
- Maintain documentation and ensure confidentiality.
5.4 Line Managers / Supervisors
- Support rights protection within their teams.
- Report any potential rights infringements to Rights Officers.
- Ensure fair treatment, equity, and compliance at the departmental level.
5.5 Employees
- Be aware of their rights and responsibilities.
- Report violations or grievances through appropriate channels.
- Engage in resolution processes and comply with organisational policies.

6.1 Awareness and Communication
- Disseminate employee rights information through manuals, induction sessions, and internal communications.
- Use Employee Rights Information Sheet (T427-01) for awareness campaigns.
6.2 Reporting Violations
- Employees report rights violations via Rights Violation Report Form (T427-02).
- Rights Officers acknowledge receipt and investigate within set timelines.
6.3 Investigation and Resolution
- Conduct structured investigation using Rights Investigation Template (T427-03).
- Engage all relevant parties, ensuring confidentiality and fairness.
- Propose resolution and corrective measures.
6.4 Escalation
- Unresolved or critical issues escalated to CHCR or CEO using Rights Escalation Form (T427-04).
