2. PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy is to:

  • Define and preserve Neftaly’s organisational values.
  • Guide behaviours, attitudes, and decision-making across Neftaly.
  • Align Human Capital actions with Neftaly’s mission and culture.
  • Ensure all staff members model, practice, and promote Neftaly values.
  • Integrate values into performance, training, programmes, and leadership.

3. SCOPE

This policy applies to:

  • All Neftaly Human Capital: employees, Officers, Directors, contractors, volunteers, interns, and service providers.
  • All Neftaly programmes, offices, virtual spaces, operations, and partnerships.

4. DEFINITIONS

Neftaly requires all Human Capital members to:

  • Embody Neftaly values in all personal and professional conduct.
  • Engage respectfully with colleagues, beneficiaries, partners, and the public.
  • Act in ways that protect Neftaly’s reputation and organisational culture.
  • Identify and report any violations of organisational values.
  • Participate in values training and development programmes.

Neftaly leadership will model, monitor, and promote these values at all levels.


7. VALUES MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES

  1. Consistency – Values must guide daily behaviour and decision-making.
  2. Leadership by Example – Leadership must champion Neftaly values.
  3. Transparency – All actions must align with ethical standards.
  4. Integration – Values must be incorporated into operations, HR, performance, and training.
  5. Protection – Values must be protected against any form of breach or misconduct.

8. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

8.1 CEO

  • Ensures organisational alignment with Neftaly values.
  • Approves value frameworks and interventions.

8.2 Chief Human Capital Officer

  • Oversees values integration, training, audits, and reporting.

8.3 Royal Directors & Officers

  • Model values and coach teams to follow them.
  • Address and report non-alignment or breaches.

8.4 Human Capital Members

  • Demonstrate values consistently.
  • Participate in values assessments, training, and culture-building activities.

9. PROCEDURES

9.1 Values Integration Procedure

  1. CHCO defines value-based expectations.
  2. Supervisors integrate values into work plans and KPIs.
  3. Staff complete values training.
  4. Values are reflected in decision-making and team culture.

9.2 Values Communication Procedure

  1. HC publishes values on Neftaly platforms.
  2. Values posters displayed in all offices and digital systems.
  3. Values referenced during meetings, inductions, and events.

9.3 Values Training Procedure

  1. HC develops training modules.
  2. All new staff receive induction on Neftaly values.
  3. Annual refresher training conducted.
  4. Training records stored in personnel files.

9.4 Values Assessment Procedure

  1. Values alignment measured through performance reviews.
  2. Use of Values Evaluation Checklist (DocP506-02).
  3. Supervisors provide feedback on strengths and gaps.
  4. Corrective coaching implemented if needed.

9.5 Values Breach Procedure

  1. Identify breach of values.
  2. Report breach using FormP506C – Values Breach Report.
  3. HC conducts an investigation.
  4. Appropriate disciplinary or corrective action taken.
  5. Final report filed in DocP506-03 – Values Investigation Report.

10. PROCESS FLOW

11. RECORD MANAGEMENT

All forms and documents must be stored for 5 years, including:

  • Training attendance sheets
  • Values assessments
  • Breach reports
  • Investigation summaries
  • Performance reviews

12. NON-COMPLIANCE

Failure to uphold Neftaly values may result in:

  • Coaching or counselling
  • Formal warning
  • Removal from duties
  • Suspension
  • Termination of contract
  • Legal action (in cases of misconduct or fraud)

13. POLICY REVIEW

This policy must be reviewed:

  • Every 12 months
  • After major organisational changes
  • After culture audits or investigations
